The wedding took place at a place called The Woods Chapel and Event Center in Orono, MN. It is a beautiful place for a wedding and if you have not heard of it and are looking at getting married in the area I suggest looking at it. We got there at 10am and got set up to take photos of everybody getting ready. After everybody was ready we took some more formal shots and I got some nice canids as well. After that we shot a beautiful ceremony and got some of the bride and groom leaving the event center. I did not get hired to do the reception so I headed home and George took care of the rest. So if you or someone you know is looking at getting married and need a photographer, I may be your man!

When you view my pricing it not only includes the great photography but also reflects a safe, beautiful environment to shoot in. And when thinking about scheduling a shoot with a photographer with everybody owning a digital camera and calling themselves a photographer these days keep that in mind. (You won’t arrive and find a dingy basement with some creepy guy and a camera.)
My studio is over 1300 square feet of shooting area. When you walk in the door you are welcomed by a contemporary conference area with a light wall and flat screen t.v.

From there you walk into a very modern full service kitchen for those long shoots.

Turning on one of the bar stools from the kitchen you will see beautiful refurbished wood flooring covering the large shooting area with lofty 16′ ceilings.

There is also a private changing room with a wonderful make up station equipped with a number of outlets and full lighting. JWN Visual Addictions Photo Studio is the only studio in the building with access to a deck outside from a sliding docking door that will lead you to some wonderful outside locations.

First I guess I will talk a little about myself. I attended Brown Institute for Advertisement Design in 1992 – 1993. When I was there I was introduced to photography. There I learned the fundamentals of photography with a Canon AE-1. I ended up not graduating and started a family and totally forgot about photography. Then in May of 2006 I decided to get back into photography and start a little business. I did a few weddings and senior portraits on location and would turn my living room into a studio when I needed studio type images.

Then I got my big break. I was contacted by a go-go dancer at Spin Nightclub in Minneapolis. Her name was Jeanie. She told me the club was looking for some new images of the dancers for the club and she liked my work and wanted to know if I was interested. So I packed up my 2 150ws cheap studio strobes and went to the club. While there the manager of Spin said they were looking for a photographer to come in and take event images every Thursday and Saturday and asked me if I wanted to do that. So that was when I started being the resident photographer for Spin Nightclub in Minneapolis from May 2006 to December 2006.

Here is the image that got my start in May 2006 with Jeanie. She is one of the most beautiful people I know both outside and inside. Her and I remain good friends to this day and I owe her a lot and appreciate everything she has done for me. I was going for a Dudley Do Right type thing with this. It was at around noon on a hot day. Not the best time for photos but turned out well.

After my time at Spin Nightclub in Minneapolis the DJ Joe Maz went to another Minneapolis Nightclub called Aqua. He contacted me and asked if I wanted to go there and do event photos there so I flipped and headed over to Aqua and took photos there from May 2007 – October 2008. This place was such a nice place to work. The owners are top notch and everyone who works there has always been wonderful. So if you are going to be heading to Minneapolis I highly recommend stopping into Aqua and saying hello to Jado and the crew there, I promise you will have a grand time! Besides doing the event photography I had also been doing a few modeling portfolios, senior portraits, and family portraits.
